Do you want to wake up every morning to a crema-rich, flavorful espresso that stimulates your synapses? Do you enjoy espresso but dislike making it yourself? The answer is automatic espresso machines.

My espresso journey began with my first sip many years ago, and since then, I’ve experimented with numerous automatic espresso machines. I will list the best automatic espresso machines based on years of experience and user reviews. My top four alternatives are:

I’ll provide a comprehensive breakdown of each of the ten best automatic espresso machines, and I’ll explain everything there is to know about choosing an automatic espresso machine so that you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.

What Is An Automatic Espresso Machine and benefits?

An automatic espresso machine is a coffee maker that allows you to brew espresso without having to do any manual work. These machines are usually more expensive than their manual counterparts, but they offer several advantages that make them worth the extra cost.

One of the most significant benefits of an automatic espresso machine is that it takes care of all the grinding, tamping, and brewing for you. This means you can push a button and let the machine do its work without worrying about details.

Another advantage of an automatic espresso machine is that it often comes with a built-in milk frother. This means that you can make lattes, cappuccinos, and espresso without having to buy a separate frothing device.

Finally, automatic espresso machines tend to be more durable and reliable than manual machines. This is because they have fewer moving parts and are less likely to break down over time.

An automatic espresso machine is an excellent option if you’re looking for a high-quality one that will make your life easier. However, be prepared to pay a bit more for this convenience.

How Does Automatic Espresso Machine Work?

An automatic espresso machine is a coffee brewing device that takes care of many of the parameters of making espresso. This includes grinding the beans, tamping them, measuring the water temperature and pressure, and regulating the brew time. Automatic espresso machines vary in price and features, but all aim to make it easier to produce consistent, high-quality espresso with less effort.

Automatic espresso machines typically have built-in grinders, so you don’t need to worry about grinding your beans beforehand. The device will grind the beans to the correct size and density for espresso and then tamp them evenly into the portafilter. Tamping is essential in making espresso, as it compacts the grounds and helps extract evenly.

Once the portafilter is loaded, the automatic espresso machine will measure the correct amount of water at the right temperature and pressure. Then, it will regulate the brew time to ensure your espresso is extracted correctly. Most automatic espresso machines also have a steam wand so that you can froth milk for lattes and cappuccinos.

An automatic espresso machine is an excellent option if you’re looking for a high-quality espresso with less effort. These machines make it easy to get consistent results, so you can enjoy delicious espresso at home without being a barista.

Benefits Of Using Automatic Espresso Machine

As the name suggests, an automatic espresso machine is a coffee maker that grinds the beans, brews the coffee, and froths the milk. It is a convenient appliance for any coffee lover as it removes the hassle of manually grinding, brewing and frothing. Here are some benefits of using an automatic espresso machine:

1. Convenience

As mentioned earlier, the most significant benefit of using an automatic espresso machine is its convenience. You need to add the beans, water, and milk (if you want a latte or cappuccino), and the device will do the rest.

2. Consistent results

Another great benefit of using an automatic espresso machine is its consistent results. This is because the machine grinds the beans to the same size and tamps them with the same pressure each time. This ensures that you get a consistent cup of coffee every time.

3. Easy to use

Automatic espresso machines are straightforward to use. Even if you are a beginner, you can use the device without problems. All you need to do is follow the instructions in the user manual.

4. Save time

If you are busy, an automatic espresso machine is an excellent choice as it will save you a lot of time. You won’t have to grind the beans or brew the coffee manually. The machine will do all the work for you.

5. Save money

In the long run, an automatic espresso machine will also help you save money. This is because you won’t need to buy coffee from a café daily. You can make your coffee at home with an automatic espresso machine.

These are some of the benefits of using an automatic espresso machine. If you are a coffee lover, you should consider getting one.

10 Best automatic Espresso machines

Numerous super-automatic espresso machines are suitable for various situations. Therefore, there is no “best” coffee maker. For this reason, we chose the best in multiple categories.

Check out our summary, followed by in-depth analyses of each coffee machine.

1. Best Overall: Jura E8 Automatic Coffee Center Chrome

Our pick for the best automatic espresso machines overall. It features the newest patent-protected technologies from Jura, brews coffee that rivals that of a coffee shop, and is less expensive than other brands’ high-end models.

You will also notice that we have included many Jura models, as this coffee maker brand has an excellent reputation! Incorporating Jura’s Pulse Extraction System (PEP), which releases hot water in short bursts, enhancing the flavor of your coffee and shortening the brewing time, is one of the highlights of the Jura E8.

This super-automatic espresso machine includes one of the quickest and quietest coffee grinders, the Professional Aroma Grinder. The grinder has seven adjustable settings.

You can brew high-quality coffee quickly and quietly using these two technologies with a few buttons. With the help of a full-color display and six buttons, the user can easily navigate the menus. Twelve pre-programmed coffee beverages can be customized further. When you select a type of beverage, the coffee machine prompts you to choose the desired strength level, volume, etc., which can be saved for future use.

The extra shot function is one of its most intriguing attributes. Hold the gear function and select the additional shot option to activate the different shot functions. This option is only available for certain beverages, denoted by a coffee bean icon on the menu.

This super-automatic espresso machine also features a cafe barista mode for preparing authentic Americano. The espresso shot is poured first, followed by the hot water.

The automatic milk frother prepares excellent milk foam using a glass milk container. However, milk temperature and foam production cannot be regulated. Instead, Jura has programmed the amount of foam into its pre-programmed coffee beverages so that the amount of foam in a latte or cappuccino will vary.

As milk stuck inside the machine can be unhygienic, we appreciate the one-touch milk cleaning system. This may seem a bit picky, but this machine has only a few drawbacks. A few components, such as the tray, are made of plastic and may have a somewhat cheap feel.

Because the brew group is fixed, you will never be able to clean this machine as thoroughly as you can with devices that permit the removal of the brew head. This is a pattern created by Jura machines. However, they have programmed maintenance and cleaning schedule to remind you to maintain your coffee machine.

2. Miele CM6350 Countertop Coffee Machine

Miele CM6350 Countertop Coffee Machine, Medium, Obsidian Black

★★★★★
Amazon.com

The Miele CM6350 coffee machine is a top-of-the-line super-automatic espresso machine with a minimalist design. Yet, it is packed with features and benefits that allow you to customize your coffee beverage in any way you desire.

The Miele CM6350 has a minimalistic design, which has become a hallmark of Miele countertop coffee makers. It includes LED lights that can be configured to accentuate its beauty.

This automatic espresso machine is available in Lotus White, Graphite Gray, and Obsidian Black at the time of writing. It has a black-and-white LCD of reasonable size. It is not a touch screen. However—the black-and-white display and crisp font complement the minimalist design of this Miele.

The heavy use of plastic does not detract from the attractiveness of this machine, as the finishes are excellent. Its dimensions are 9.9″ x 14.1″ x 16.8″ (W x H x D). The first thing we noticed upon removing this espresso machine from its packaging was its depth (or length). This appears to be a trade-off with width; Miele seems to have designed this appliance to be longer to make it narrower, thereby saving counter space.

The Miele CM6350 is a fully automatic espresso machine. Add espresso coffee beans, water, and the milk carafe if you desire a milky beverage. Then, you press one of the OneTouch sensors, and the machine will complete the remaining tasks, including self-cleaning.

The Miele CM6350 is neither a budget-friendly machine nor a cheap appliance. Despite this, we believe the CM6350 is a good value due to its abundance of features and excellent espresso quality.

To begin with, you can modify virtually every aspect of your drink (except the milk temperature). Its OneTouch technology prepares third-wave coffee drinks with the touch of a button. The machine will grind, brew, and foam milk quickly and quietly with minimal supervision. This Miele exemplifies what a super-automatic espresso machine should be capable of: producing delicious espresso-based beverages at the touch of a button.

This machine is composed predominantly of plastic, which raises concerns about its durability. However, the robust cleaning programs and the ability to clean virtually every component of this machine should increase its durability and value over time.

Key Features
  • 8 Cups
  • Freestanding bean-to-cup coffee machine
  • AromaticSystem
  • AromaticSystem
  • OneTouch for Two preparation
  • DoubleShot
  • 10 programmable connoisseur profiles
  • Aroma-friendly conical grinder
  • Selectable grinder setting
  • Coffee powder drawer
PROS
  • Coffee shop quality cup of coffee can be made easily from home
  • Self cleaning function
  • Individual settings to save your exact preferences
  • Saves up to ten individual setting
CONS
  • The more expensive coffee makers on the market
  • Might be too much for those just looking for a simple coffee machine

3. Best for Advanced Users: Breville Oracle Touch Espresso Machine

Breville Oracle Touch Espresso Machine, Brushed Stainless Steel, BES990BSS

★★★★★
Amazon.com

This is the best automatic espresso machine if you are a coffee connoisseur who desires all the bells and whistles. This espresso machine is as close to having a commercial espresso machine and a personal barista in your home. It’s not cheap and large, but it’s the closest you can get to having a commercial espresso machine and a personal barista at home.

The Breville Oracle has a beautiful touch screen and a stainless-steel body. It is pretty bulky, but its presence in the kitchen is impressive. The portafilter is one of our favorite features of this machine. Yes, we know these are supposed to be superautomatic espresso machines but have no fear; the Oracle handles tamping automatically. And it does so exceedingly well. With this machine, Oracle has bridged the gap between semi-automatic and fully automatic machines.

This machine has dual stainless-steel boilers, allowing you to brew coffee and froth milk simultaneously. The PID ensures accurate water temperatures, and the Over Pressure Valve (OPV) prevents overpressure during extraction, thereby preventing bitter coffee flavors.

Additionally, the oracle pre-infuses the coffee grounds with low pressure before increasing the pressure to extract a delicious espresso. The Oracle’s portafilter is of commercial quality and has a solid stainless-steel construction. It has two baskets for both single and double shots. It also has a double spout, allowing for the simultaneous pouring of two espresso shots.

A portafilter is advantageous because this is how espressos should be prepared! The results will be superior to those of other automatic espresso machines.

Another benefit of using a portafilter is that coffee grounds do not enter the machine’s brewing components. As a result, there is a reduced likelihood of filth accumulating inside your cherished espresso machine. This will likely extend the life of your coffee machine. It’s a considerably cleaner method.

The automatic steam wand is an additional feature of this device. It includes a steel pitcher rather than a milk carafe. You can simultaneously brew coffee and steam milk thanks to the dual boiler. It can also be used as a manual milk frother, and skilled users can even create latte art.

You can set the milk’s temperature, and amount of foam, and the machine will take care of the rest. At first, we were dubious; filling the pitcher with milk and then leaving the wand unattended seems counterintuitive. But the outcomes were astounding!

In addition, when the foaming process is complete, the wand cleans itself by forcing hot steam through it. The Breville Oracle Touch includes five pre-programmed specialty coffee drinks, each of which can be fully customized, including 45 levels of grind fineness, desired coffee strength, milk temperature, and milk texture.

Even the pre-infusion period can be tailored! Additionally, you can create your coffee beverage and save it for future use. This fully automatic espresso machine is a technological marvel. However, it is not perfect. It takes a considerable amount of time to heat (although you can program it to be ready when you are), and it is cumbersome. It may not be suitable for all kitchens.

Lastly, it is expensive, but it is the best of the best!

Key Features
  • Rich, full flavor
  • Perfectly balanced taste
  • Irresistible body
  • Silky, velvety mouthfeel
  • Dose Control Grinding
  • Optimal Water Pressure
  • Precise Espresso Extraction
  • Automatic Microfoam Milk Texturing
  • Touch Screen
PROS
  • Pulls high quality espresso
  • Great for beginners and experts
  • Automatic milk frothing
  • Easy to clean
  • Incredibly consistent
  • Can make nearly any coffee at a touch
  • 45 grind settings
CONS
  • Very expensive
  • Big and heavy
  • Takes a while to heat up

4. Best for Small Offices: Jura 15145 Automatic Coffee Machine WE8

Jura 15145 Automatic Coffee Machine WE8, Chrome, 101 oz

★★★★★
Amazon.com

Office coffee has a somewhat negative reputation. Those large coffee thermoses keep stale coffee warm for hours, causing it to “marinate”? You would never want to give that to a client visiting the office!

You can enjoy delicious coffee in the office! If you are in the market for a new office coffee maker, consider the Jura WE8 Professional! You will not be let down!

The Jura WE8 is an office-specific, superautomatic espresso machine. Jura suggested a maximum daily output of 30 cups, which is more than adequate for small offices.

Using the One-Touch function, this espresso machine’s diverse array of technologies enables you to enjoy delectable specialty coffee at the office by simply pressing a button.

Using the espresso machine’s beautiful TFT LCD display, the user can easily select one of the 12 pre-programmed specialty beverages. The buttons on the screen’s sides are utilized for navigation.

It prepares coffee beverages very quickly, which is necessary for the workplace. For example, it takes approximately sixty seconds to prepare two cups of coffee, forty-five seconds to prepare two espresso drinks, and thirty seconds to prepare two ristretto espressos.

This is accomplished by the AromaG3’s built-in grinder, which offers six grind settings. With its angled blades, this burr grinder is quick and quiet. The brewing unit employs Jura’s Pulse Extraction Process (PEP) technology, pushing short bursts of hot water through the coffee grounds, highlighting the coffee’s flavor profile quickly and efficiently.

There are many coffee settings, including eight adjustable coffee strength levels, three different water temperatures, and two brewing temperatures. Each pre-programmed beverage can also be modified and saved for future use.

A convenient feature of this espresso machine is the ability to lock specific settings with a pin to prevent office employees from tampering with it excessively. This automatic espresso machine also provides easy access to its large water tank and bean hopper, making it ideal for use in an office setting.

The frothing system is more than adequate, but its single spout can only prepare one drink at a time. This could be problematic if everyone in the office wants a cappuccino simultaneously.

Jura has designed efficient integrated cleaning and descaling programs, making it simple to keep the office’s fully automatic machine in pristine condition. This is advantageous, given the importance of office cleanliness. This machine has a sleek, contemporary chrome finish but is primarily plastic. However, this also means that it is lighter than it appears. Its size prevents it from fitting everywhere, but there should be more space at the office than at home.

Key Features
  • 12 specialties
  • Disable function for products and programming
  • Cappuccino spout, height-adjustable
  • Exclusive Pulse Extraction Process
  • Intelligent Water System
  • 101 oz water tank capacity
  • 17.7 oz bean container capacity
  • Areas of use include galleries, small offices, upscale shops, business premises or boutique hotels
PROS
  • Simple, one-touch button operation.
  • Ample coffee bean and water storage.
  • Optional application control through the JOE app.
  • Extremely efficient and silent burr grinder.
CONS
  • Outer casing is made of fragile plastic.
  • Low-store bypass doser.

5. Best Value: De’Longhi ESAM3300 Magnifica

De'Longhi ESAM3300 Magnifica Super Automatic Espresso & Coffee Machine, Silver

Amazon.com

The De’Longhi ESAM3300 Magnifica is a super-automatic coffee maker that offers exceptional value. Due to its many features, it produces high-quality espresso and lattes/cappuccinos at a low cost. This is the entry-level espresso machine you’re looking for!

De’Longhi has done a fantastic job selecting only the necessary technology and components to maintain a low price while still delivering an exceptional coffee experience.

This inexpensive espresso machine is equipped with De’Longhi’s patented Tubeless System (TB), a technology that reduces the amount of stale coffee dust left behind in the grinder. This guarantees that only the most recent coffee is brewed.

The Magnifica also includes De’Longhi’s patented Direct-to-Brew system, which allows the coffee grounds to be brewed almost instantly after grinding, and a 15-bar pump to ensure high-quality espresso.

This espresso machine features a steel burr grinder with 13 grind settings that can be adjusted via a dial beneath the coffee bean chamber cap. Nonetheless, this grinder is typically quite loud. Therefore, if it is early in the morning and you want to prepare coffee, you may wake up all the snoring individuals.

The adjustable manual Cappuccino System is an additional intriguing piece of technology. This system does not include an automatic system, but even a novice can prepare a delicious latte or cappuccino using it.

The steam wand is easily disassembled for cleaning (milk stuck inside is a bad thing!). Delonghi has chosen to eliminate decorative screens to provide the best value possible. Six buttons and three dials control the device. The water quantity and coffee strength are controlled by two separate dials, while a third dial controls the steam output. The user interface is very intuitive.

The four buttons in the upper left corner of this espresso machine control the power unit, the number of desired cups, and the water dispenser.

Therefore, you only need to press a few buttons and dials to prepare your beverage, and the machine “remembers” previous settings, so you don’t have to keep adjusting the dials to your liking!

Also convenient is the fact that the water tank can be removed from the front of the machine. There is an alternative route if you choose to take it. However, if you desire an espresso lungo, one of my personal favorites, do not use this! We always suggest freshly ground coffee!

The fully removable brew group permits thorough cleaning, which should extend the life of your automatic coffee machines (if you clean it thoroughly, of course!). Lastly, this machine’s top becomes quite warm and can be used to warm your coffee cup.

Key Features
  • 15-Bar Professional Pressure
  • Built-in Conical Burr Grinder with 13 settings
  • Traditional Milk Frother
  • Compact Design
  • 2 Year Warranty + 1 Year with Product Registration
PROS
  • High-quality design with low failure rates
  • Though not having a digital display could be a con it leads to better durability.
  • 60 ounces removable water reservoir
  • Stainless steel removable double boiler
  • Pulls an awesome shot every time.
  • Easy to use and clean
CONS
  • Noisy grinder
  • Not compatible with water filters
  • Can’t brew and steam at the same time
  • Has no digital display

6. Best for Compact Spaces: jura ENA 8 Massive Aluminum

jura ENA 8 Massive Aluminum

Amazon.com

This compact, fully automatic espresso machine incorporates Jura’s newest patent-protected technologies to produce beverages of superior quality. It is ideal for kitchens with limited counter space and limited size.

We like the sleek and modern design, which features a beautiful water tank that resembles crystal. It is made of plastic, but its design gives the impression that it is made of glass. It also features an orange light that illuminates when your beverage is prepared; this is a nice touch that makes the machine even more appealing.

It is equipped with the quick and quiet AromaG3 grinder by Jura. This machine also utilizes the patented Pulse Extraction Process (PEP) technology developed by Jura. This system sends short bursts of hot water under pressure, which speeds up the extraction process and enhances the bean coffee’s flavor profiles.

When preparing an Americano, you will not need to move your coffee cup because the hot waterspout is conveniently located. As with most other superautomatic machines, a pre-ground coffee bypass with a chrome cover is included. However, you should use whole bean coffee to get the most out of your device. That is unless you require decaffeinated coffee because it is 10 p.m.

In addition to its compact size, this machine’s adaptability is among its strengths. The full-color LCD screen and four buttons on the screen’s sides make programming and customizing drinks incredibly simple.

The controls are straightforward. The volume, strength, temperature, and milk foam amount for each of the ten pre-programmed beverages can be adjusted by simply pressing and holding the circle button. The machine will remember these settings for the next time it is used. Another example of customization is the ability to cancel at any time when pouring a drink. This will prompt the option to save for later use. The milk frother is adequate, but it only produces one type of milk foam. Its bubbly, airy texture may not be suitable for all beverages.

This machine’s small coffee bean hopper and water tank are one of its flaws. This is one of the costs associated with compactness. Unless you have a small household, you may need to refill the coffee bean hopper and water tank more frequently than other superautomatic espresso machines. Therefore, the Jura ENA 8 is optimal for small households with limited kitchen counter space. We believe the drip tray has too many parts, necessitating additional cleaning. For instance, it has a cap to prevent spilling, but it must also be cleaned.

Jura has also implemented a maintenance and cleaning program. If you use the milk frothing system, an icon will illuminate to remind you to activate the cleaning mode. In addition, the machine alerts you when descaling is required. This superautomatic machine is also quite expensive, comparable to higher-end models such as the Jura E8 and the Miele CM6350. You will pay more for compactness, so if you have ample counter space, the Jura E8 or Miele CM6350 may be your best option.

Key Features
  • COMPACT ONE TOUCH: Prepare 10 barista quality specialties including espresso doppio, cappuccino, flat white and latte macchiato at the touch of a button
  • PERFECT ESPRESSO: Ultimate coffee quality thanks to JURA’s exclusive Pulse Extraction Process
  • CONICAL BURR GRINDER: Fast and precise AromaG3 grinder grinds whole beans to the optimum fineness
  • ECO FRIENDLY: JURA is always freshly ground, not capsuled – fresh taste with very limited waste – single serve machine
  • CAPACITY: 37 ounce cylindrical-shape, easy-grip water tank, 4.4 ounce bean container, optional pre-ground chute
PROS
  • Quiet grinding
  • Fully adjustable settings
  • Sensitive to different water hardness
  • Works with grounds or beans
  • Removable water container
CONS
  • Switches on from the back
  • Small bean container
  • Milk dispenser costs extra

7. Best Bugdet: Gaggia Brera Super-Automatic Espresso Machine

Gaggia Brera Super-Automatic Espresso Machine, Small, Black

Amazon.com

The Gaggia Brera is the least expensive machine on this list, which is all the more remarkable given that it is manufactured in Italy by a well-known and reputable brand. Gaggia espresso machines are popular among both espresso novices and experts, and for a good reason. They typically combine premium components with a stylish design.

The Brera is a relatively compact and user-friendly model. Due to its lack of espresso customization options, we prefer this machine for Americanos and milk-based beverages such as lattes and cappuccinos.

The milk is frothed using a manual Panarello steam wand. Wands from Panarello incorporate a small amount of air and steam into milk, making it easier to achieve the ideal texture. Even though it is more difficult to use than an automatic frother, once you get the hang of it, you can achieve superior results.

Key Features
  • Cup Height: 3.25” to 4.5”
  • Programmable Brewing
  • Stainless Steel Front Panel
  • Intuitive Operation
  • Rapid Steam Technology
PROS
  • Significantly lower price point than other models listed
  • Smaller and lighter with lower energy consumption
  • Easily removable brew group (side panel) aids in cleaning
  • One of the best user manuals I have ever seen (seriously, this is a major plus for me)
  • Despite lower-quality build, Italian-made pump
CONS
  • A lot of plastic components; pretty much only the frother is made of metal (stainless steel)
  • Due to small size, all storage compartments are undersized and require frequent filling/emptying
  • Can't adjust for water hardness
  • Doesn’t come with a water filter

8. Best for Lattes: Philips 3200 Series Fully Automatic Espresso Machine

It’s no surprise that the Philips 3200 with LatteGo is our favorite machine for lattes. There it is, right in the name! This compact espresso machine shares many similarities with the well-known Saeco PicoBaristo. Only one of its many positive attributes is the excellent automatic frothing system.

This system, dubbed LatteGo by Philips, combines milk, air, and heat in a frothing chamber before pouring it over your latte. In addition to producing perfect, silky milk foam without tubing, the hands-free system is considerably more hygienic than many alternatives. The milk carafe can be removed and stored in the refrigerator between uses.

In addition to LatteGo, the 3200’s intuitive interface makes selecting and programming your beverage simple. You can adjust the coffee’s temperature, coffee and milk volume, and strength. The ceramic burr grinder has twelve adjustable settings and is rated to produce a minimum of 20,000 cups of coffee. That should keep you satisfied with coffee for many years. We provide a comprehensive review of the Philips superautomatic espresso machine.

The Philips 3200 Series Fully Automatic Espresso Machine with LatteGo produces good but unremarkable coffee. Its thoughtful design and narrow form make it ideal for those with limited counter space. Additionally, the parts are simple to remove and clean.

Additionally, the LatteGo attachment makes it much simpler to prepare a cappuccino than a separate frother, particularly for those unfamiliar with the process. However, the coffee quality could be improved, especially when spending over $750 on an espresso machine.

Key Features
  • Enjoy 5 coffees
  • Intuitive touch display
  • 12-step grinder adjustment
  • 20,000 cups of finest coffee with durable ceramic grinders
  • Keep your beans fresh for longer thanks to the aroma seal
  • Up to 5,000 cups without descaling thanks to AquaClean
  • Dishwasher safe parts for your convenience
  • Easy cleaning thanks to fully removable brewing group
  • Makes Espresso, hot water, cappuccino, coffee, latte macchiato and americano
  • Includes: Measuring scoop, water hardness test strip, AquaClean filter, LatteGo storage lid, grease tube
PROS
  • Thoughtful design
  • Easy to clean
  • Simple to use
CONS
  • Coffee kind of weak
  • Milk foam could be denser

9. Best Under $1000: De'Longhi ECAM22110SB Espresso Machine

The De’Longhi ECAM22110SB is packed with features for such an affordable price, which is more impressive given its small footprint. This tiny brewer, measuring just 17 x 9.4 x 13.8 inches, can produce any of five fully customizable specialty coffee beverages.

This machine’s most distinguishing feature is the ability to create custom beverages. You can adjust the grinder to one of 12 settings using the rotary dial and display and select your preferred drink temperature, strength, and size. Using the manual steam wand, which features an adjustable Cappuccino System for simple frothing, you can create the ideal milk consistency for any beverage. Even the spout height can be adjusted to accommodate different mug sizes.

Rapid Cappuccino System is a feature exclusive to the ECAM22110SB that maintains brewing temperature when preparing drinks consecutively. This option is worth pursuing if you frequently serve large groups.

Key Features
  • Drinks: Espresso (multi-length), Cappuccino, Latte, Hot water, Americano
  • Water tank capacity: 60 ounces
  • Bean hopper capacity: 8.8 ounces
  • Heat-up time: 60 seconds
  • Brew group: In-built
PROS
  • The 13 settings on the DeLonghi ECAM22110SB burr grinder allow you to choose the coarseness of your coffee.
  • It can be stored under a cabinet since it generates less heat
  • It is fast in the operations of self-cleaning and making a cup of coffee.
  • The refillable water tank which is pulled forward makes it easy for anyone to refill it.
  • The size is quite compact
CONS
  • The displays are not well elaborated
  • The espressos frother wand is short for large mugs

10. Best Under $1000: Jura 15215 D6 Black Automatic Coffee Machine

The Jura D6 is a coffee maker with a classic, streamlined design and many advanced features, including the company’s patented Pulse Extraction Technology. But where it truly shines, in our opinion, is its ability to create the ideal cappuccino froth.

This is due to the Easy Cappuccino system by Jura. It draws in milk, heats it to the ideal temperature, and then injects the right amount of air to produce the superior fine foam for your espresso. And it does it all with a single button press.

Unlike some of the more expensive models (such as the Jura E6), this inexpensive option employs a simple text display and rotary switch instead of a touchscreen display. Despite not having the same high-tech appearance, this machine is, in many ways, simpler to operate. It even has the Smart Connect option, which allows you to control it through an app on your smartphone or tablet.

Key Features
  • VERSATILITY: Cappuccino, espresso and coffee maker
  • OPERATION: Plain text display or Smart Connect App control
  • CUSTOMIZATION: Adjustable water level, coffee strength and temperature
  • GRINDER: Fast and precise AromaG2 integrated grinder
  • TECHNOLOGY: Flavor optimizing Pulse Extraction Process technology
PROS
  • Automatic cleaning
  • Provide maximum strength for espresso
  • Excellent quality in making milk foam texture
  • Can be connected and operated through an app
  • Consistent P.E.P
  • Make two cups simultaneously with fresh taste
CONS
  • Plain text display
  • Limited three recipes

How to use automatic Espresso machine

Automatic espresso machines are becoming increasingly popular as they offer a convenient and easy way to make espresso. Here is a guide on how to use an automatic espresso machine to enjoy delicious espresso at home.

First, you must choose the right coffee beans for your machine. It is essential to select freshly roasted coffee beans, as they will provide the best flavor. Once you have chosen your beans, you need to grind them to a medium-fine grind.

Next, you will need to fill the water reservoir of your machine with fresh, cold water. Then, you will need to insert the coffee grounds into the filter basket and tamp them down lightly.

You will need to select the desired espresso size and start the brewing process. The machine will do all the work for you, and you will have a delicious cup of espresso in no time!

Add some steamed milk to your espresso if you want to enjoy a frothy cappuccino or latte. Enjoy!

How to clean and maintain an automatic Espresso machine

If you’re using a semi-automatic or automatic espresso machine, the cleaning and maintenance process is simple. You’ll want to clean your device daily, or at least every other day. This will help to keep it in good working condition and prevent any build-up of coffee oils or residue.

Here are the basic steps for cleaning and maintaining your automatic espresso machine:

  1. Start by turning off the power to your machine. Then, remove any coffee grounds or pods from the brew basket.
  2. Next, open the drip tray and empty it. Please rinse it with warm water and then dry it off.
  3. Now it’s time to clean the frothing wand. First, remove any milk or residue from the wand by wiping it down with a damp cloth. Then, place the wand under running water and let it run for a few seconds.
  4. Finally, you’ll need to descale your machine every few months (or more often if you live in an area with hard water). This helps to remove any minerals or build-up that can cause your machine to function less effectively. To descale, fill the water tank with a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar. Run this through a complete brewing cycle, empty it and rinse the machine thoroughly with fresh water.

That’s it! Following these simple steps, you can keep your automatic espresso machine clean and well-maintained.

Best automatic Espresso machine – FAQs

There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on your personal preferences and budget. However, we can recommend a few popular models among coffee enthusiasts.

Automatic espresso machines are convenient because they automate the brewing process, from grinding the beans to frothing the milk. This means you can enjoy a delicious cup of espresso without doing any of the work yourself. Additionally, automatic espresso machines often have advanced features that allow you to customize your brew to suit your taste.

The two main types of automatic espresso machines are semi-automatic and super-automatic. Semi-automatic machines require you to grind the beans and load them into the machine, but the device takes care of the rest of the process. Super-automatic machines are even more convenient as they grind the beans and brew the espresso in one unit.

Some of the most popular brands of automatic espresso machines include Breville, DeLonghi, and Nespresso. These companies offer various models to suit all budgets and preferences.

The most significant difference between an automatic and a manual espresso machine is the level of convenience. Automatic espresso machines do all the work for you, while manual espresso machines require you to do some of the work yourself. Additionally, automatic espresso machines often come equipped with advanced features that allow you to customize your brew, while manual espresso machines usually have fewer bells and whistles.

Automatic espresso machines can range in price from around $100 to over $1,000. The cost will depend on the features and quality of the device. However, you usually find a good quality machine for under $500.

Here are a few tips for using an automatic espresso machine:

  • Read the manual carefully before using the machine.
  • Clean the machine regularly to prevent the build-up of coffee oils and residue.
  • Use fresh, quality coffee beans for the best flavor.
  • Experiment with different grind sizes and brewing times to find your perfect espresso.
